Trigger Warning: Mention of Child Abuse
Sometimes, helping yourself needs to be a bit unorthodox. I’ve previously mentioned how, at times, writing about how you feel can help. After all, that is what led to the creation of Bordering Bears.
I’ve also previously discussed coming to terms with being groomed as a child. Something that took a long time for me to deal with.
Some of those who know me personally may be aware of my not-so-secret love for fanfiction. As a means of dealing with my trauma, I decided to write my very own one-shot piece.
This was published on AO3 in September, 2020, however I now feel comfortable enough in myself to share it with you all.
At present, it’s been bookmarked 4 times, has 10 comments, and 83 people have liked it. That warms my heart.
Of those comments, others have also voiced that they use writing to help them work through their own issues.
I’m not saying you need to go and write your own trauma story but, perhaps consider if putting pen to paper might help you.
So, ladies and gentlemen, here it is. My one and only fic so far
